Our Shine youth ministry, led by Jason and Toni Bell, partner with Word of Life Youth Ministries to help create faith-defining experiences that give students and families the opportunity to encounter God and grow in their spiritual walk. Through camps, the Bible Institute, Youth Ministries and International Ministries, Word of Life is a catalyst for lasting life change and eternal impact.
First Baptist Baldwin uses the Word of Life curriculum for our Wednesday night programs. In addition to that, our students have access to daily devotionals - the WOL discipleship program - that allows them to dig deeper into the Word of God in their personal time. Word of Life also provides our students opportunities throughout the year to invite their unsaved friends to events like Reverb, Pursuit Camp, and summer camp at The Coast. Our older students also have opportunity to serve as Camp Crew with The Coast for the entire summer. After students graduate from our ministry, they have the ability to attend the Word of Life Bible institute for one to two years to provide a strong Christian foundation as they spend the year(s) pouring into the Bible on a deep level.
The FBB Shine Ministry is blessed with a Local Church Missionary from Word of Life. Matt Dooney and his wife Katie regularly check in with us and offer trainings and any needed support as we teach the curriculum throughout the year.
Shine Student Ministry echoes the importance of WOL’s mission that “every life be reached and changed for eternity.”
