How To Join FBC Baldwin
At FBC Baldwin, we welcome you to become part of our church family as we worship, grow, and serve together in Christ. There are three ways to join our church:
1. By Profession of Faith and Believer’s Baptism
If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and have never been baptized by immersion, you can join by making a public profession of faith and following the Lord in believer’s baptism. Baptism is an act of obedience and a testimony of your faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 6:3-4).
2. By Transfer of Letter
If you are already a member of another Southern Baptist church or a like-minded Bible-believing church where you have been saved and baptized by immersion, you may join by transfer of letter. Our church will request a letter of recommendation from your previous church to affirm your membership and standing.
3. By Statement of Faith
If you have previously accepted Christ and have been baptized by immersion in a Bible-believing church that does not issue letters of transfer, you may join by statement of faith. This means sharing your testimony of salvation and baptism with the pastor or church leadership to affirm your commitment to Christ and His church.
Since each Southern Baptist church is autonomous, specific membership processes may vary slightly.
